“Really Strategies provides us with the third-party expertise we need.”
LANSDALE, Pa.–December 4, 2001–The American Forum for Global Education (TAF) selected Really Strategies, a content management consulting and services provider to publishers, media and Internet companies, to architect and lead the development of a content management system that will support TAF's online publishing of educational documentation for high school social studies teachers. Together with Imirage, an interactive services firm specializing in e-business and interactive marketing, Really Strategies will help TAF meet its technical and educational objectives.
The project, entitled South Asia at 50, will incorporate the content of current hard-copy publications, newly acquired content, and multimedia elements to create an appealing web destination from which teachers and students can research the evolution of the cultural, political, social, and economic aspects of the region. Really Strategies will help TAF maximize the usefulness of the information using the tools and strategies available through electronic publishing.
"TAF is excited to take this valuable, historical information online," said Linda Arkin, director of TAF. "The site will focus on augmenting traditional school textbooks and teaching aids with source documents, scholarly essays, and student materials. Through discussions with Really Strategies and Imirage, we determined that publishing this information on the web provides the most flexibility, utility, and cost-efficiency."
"Really Strategies and Imirage are well positioned to help TAF meet their goals for its South Asia at 50 initiative," said Barry Bealer, president of Really Strategies. "Upon analysis of the project requirements, we will recommend a cost effective content plan that provides flexible access to their content work, as well as a platform for launching additional sites."
About The American Forum for
Global Education
The American Forum for Global Education is a private,
non-for-profit organization, founded in 1970.
For thirty years, the American Forum has been nationally recognized for providing leadership and assistance to school systems, state departments of education, and colleges and universities, by initiating hundreds of programs and developing educational materials, teacher training seminars and publications to guide and implement these programs.
These hundreds of programs, delivered to thousands of educators nationwide, are focused on giving young Americans a global perspective as an accepted part of their educational background. It is the goal of the American Forum that the young people of the United States will achieve an understanding of global issues, of cultural differences and similartities, and of the connections which exist in their daily lives between their actions - and those of their country - and others taking place in all parts of the globe, from east to west and north to south.
