Functional Specifications for Online Training Suite:

BankersEdge

Background: BankersEdge provides online training courses that are well-designed, engaging and job relevant - complemented with powerful administration, reporting and customization tools. More than 2 million online courses were completed in 2004 with more than 1200 financial institutions as customers. BankersEdge required a complete redesign and rebuild of its online systems.

Strategy: The existing system has been in use for several years and BankersEdge required an overhaul of the system that incorporated major enhancements as well as developing a platform that enables them to compete in additional financial markets. Really Strategies was recently hired to facilitate documentation of functional specifications and provide project management leadership.

Result: Project goals and system enhancements were documented and prioritized based on the Use Case Analysis methodology. Effective leadership from Really Strategies resulted in the completion of project specifications, delivery of IT infrastructure upgrade proposal, an application analysis and design project plan, and the launch of an initiative to consider a transition to Agile development methodologies.
